EAA 67 - Events 2010

Young Eagles - May 15, 2010

Our Young Eagles event along with the International Learn to Fly Day was a great success. We flew 23 YE and 8 adults on Saturday. One of the adults was a reporter for the Indianapolis Star. I would like to thank all of the club members and two wonderful women who helped make this a successful event. A BIG shout out goes to Mariann and Nancy who worked the registration table. These two woman did a great job of keeping all of the paperwork in order, and they also greeted all of our visitors with a warm smile along with a welcoming Hello while making them feel at home. To all of the Pilots and Ground Ops personal along with Dave Wallis for allowing us to use his beautiful Cessna 140 as the Pre-Flight Plane, THANK YOU. A thanks to Tom McNutt for your work as the Official Photographer. Tom will be getting these pictures to Nick Boland so they can be posted on the Website as soon as possible.

I hope to see you all at the June 5 Pancake Breakfast Fly in lending a helping hand in some way so we can have another successful event. Please call a Chapter 67 member and remind them of the Setup on Friday evening, June 4. We will be meeting at 6:30 pm to set up. The grill will be fired up to feed the Volunteers that evening. Saturday morning we will need to arrive at around 6:30 to finish final set up and to start the food prep.
